Lets be honest with ourselves for a second. Women have been at a disadvantage in society for many years. This regressive action has caused issues in the past, and it has sparked numerous debates. Unfortunately, men have seem to dominate society, especially when it comes to jobs and security. As the old saying goes, “men are the head of the household, but women are the neck.” This notion rings true to some degree, but there would be no head if there wasn’t a neck. Back on October 20, 2017, the Dallas Women’s Foundation hosted its 32nd annual luncheon. This event has been growing by leaps and bounds thanks to outside support. Advancing economic change as well as advancing social change is the name of the game.
The Dallas Women’s Foundation just so happens to be the biggest regional fund for females in the world. That’s right! It has helped to level the playing field here in the U.S. For 2017, NexBank SSB donated over $100,000 to this extraordinary advancement. Did you know that over 1,300 civic, business and community leaders were in attendance? The luncheon was held at Dallas’ Hilton Anatole Hotel, and it hosted a surprise visitor for the evening. That surprise visitor was best-selling author Hope Jahren. This remarkable women is very influential because of her progressive nature. Hope Jahren is known to be a doctor, a scientist as well as one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Influential People.
NexBank SSB is also a prominent fixture in the Dallas community. It has donated capital to a number of special events and causes. This community bank was established back in 1934, and it has been growing at a consistent rate ever since. NexBank offers many high-quality banking solutions such as online banking, mortgage services, mobile banking, agency services, lending services, treasury management, real estate advisory and many more.
